Just the other day I was speaking to a climate change skeptic who made mention of an old Time or Newsweek he was not sure article that talked about fears of a coming ice age. But here, David Kirtley places a recent meme that seems to be an attempt to diffuse concern about global warming because we used to be worried about global cooling. The meme, however, is not what it seems to be. And, David places the argument that Ice Age Fears were important and somehow obviate the science in context. From the cover we can see that apparently a new ice age was supposed to arrive. Only 30 years later, according to the cover, global warming is supposed to be the problem. It actually is this Time cover from April 9, The s Ice Age Scare. It goes something like this:

She then deftly explained a few of the reasons why she is a Rotarian assisted by a fine handout.

I have said, in the past, that you should move toward full frame sensors. I have always championed full frame sensors. At the end of the day, full frame sensors beat APS sized and smaller sensors. The whole reason I bought an original x was because it had the largest sensor I could find in a small camera. It had been a number of years since I had shot an APS crop frame sensor.
I replaced that with a Nikon D3 full frame and then moved on to the Canon 5d2, also full frame.

Filed under Pagadian City The Philippines, being a country archipelago of islands and seas, have naturally wonderful beaches, some of which are famous the world over. Beaches like Puerto Galera, Boracay, and the various beaches in Cebu rake in tourists from around the world all year round because of their pristine and cool blue waters and fine, white-sand shores. However, if one will just look around more, they will find that there are other less-known but equally beautiful beach spots in other parts of the Philippines.
In Pagadian, in particular, there are beaches and islands that will make one believe that there is such a thing as a secluded paradise on Earth. A nice place to start would be the Dao-Dao Islands some seven to ten minutes away from the seaport, when riding a motorboat. It is a rather big island, with an area size of about 1. The coral reefs are artificially made, but the whole place is very much ideal for swimming, fishing, and boating.
During low tides, a smaller, more undeveloped island appears and like the rest, is also suitable for fishing and swimming. There is also the White Beach that, as its name suggests, is a stretch of white sand beach just minutes southeast of the seaport. Again, it can be reached via motorboat. The clear, deep, blue waters even during low tides are excellent for swimming and diving.
The Bomba Beach, located in barangay Bomba some 2 kilometers away from the city, is also a good area for swimming and fishing, with a bomba bridge and natural coral reefs. The Muricay Beach is located further away, at 4 kilometers, but the white sands and clear seas more than make up for the distance.
Background[ edit ] Hope has the ability to help people heal faster and easier. Individuals who maintain hope, especially when battling illness, significantly enhance their chances of recovery. If health care providers begin to recognize the importance of hope in the recovery process, then they can learn to instill hope within their patients; this would enable patients to develop healthy coping strategies and therefore improve their physical and emotional well being.

Date, composition and modern translations[ edit ] The title of the Didache in the manuscript discovered in Many English and American scholars once dated the text to the late 2nd century AD, a view still held today, but most scholars now assign the Didache to the first century. Dating the document is thus made difficult both by the lack of hard evidence and its composite character. The Didache may have been compiled in its present form as late as , although a date closer to the end of the first century seems more probable to many.
Adolf von Harnack produced the first German translation in , and Paul Sabatier produced the first French translation and commentary in Rufinus gives the curious alternative title Judicium Petri, “Judgment of Peter”. It is rejected by Nicephorus c. The Adversus Aleatores by an imitator of Cyprian quotes it by name.
